01Our Principle
Joel Studio ("we") develops and operates the racing pigeon manager LoftCommander (鸽舍教头) (the "app", App ID: com.joelstudio.pigeon). Our privacy principle is simple: your data belongs to you — we cannot access it. The app has no account system and we operate no servers that receive user data.
02We Do Not Collect Your Data
LoftCommander is a fully local app:
- Pigeon profiles, training records, pedigree and health data are stored only on your iPhone;
- No ads, no third-party analytics or tracking components of any kind;
- We cannot view, receive, or back up any of your data.
03iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud, your data can sync automatically between your Apple devices via Apple iCloud. Syncing is performed directly by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot access your iCloud data or sync content. You can turn sync off at any time in system settings.
04Third-Party Cloud Backup (Pro)
The Pro version can upload encrypted backups to a cloud service you authorize yourself (WebDAV and NAS at launch; Dropbox, OneDrive, and Google Drive will be added in future updates):
- Backup files are protected with AES-256-GCM end-to-end encryption, using a password you set yourself;
- The password is stored only in your device's Keychain and is never uploaded anywhere;
- Only ciphertext is stored in the cloud — neither we nor the cloud provider can read your data;
- Cloud access credentials are used solely for the service you authorize and are likewise stored only on your device.
05System Services
The app calls a small number of Apple system services, each governed by Apple's privacy rules:
- Maps (MapKit): displaying the map and searching locations when picking a training release site;
- Weather (WeatherKit): fetching weather near the release site as a release reference — requests carry only location coordinates, with no personal identity attached;
- Notifications: vaccination, medication and deworming reminders are local notifications on your device; no push server is involved.
06In-App Purchases
The Pro version is paid via App Store in-app purchase. All transactions are handled by Apple; we never see your payment information.
07Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
08Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in the app or on this page. By continuing to use the app, you accept the updated policy.
